I won’t keep you waiting any longer…. I’m thrilled to announce the latest addition to Sara Anthony Photography.  Tangerine! Tanger-what? Yes, Tangerine.  It’s a fresh, bold, eco{nomically}-friendly division of our studio in Serenbe.  Teresa Collins, an amazingly talented photographer, has joined forces with me.  As my associate photographer she will photograph all the Tangerine sessions.  If you are looking for a cost effective way to have your memories documented, but you don’t want to give up any quality, then Tangerine is the answer!!  Teresa is currently booking September and October sessions. Sara Anthony Photography has teamed up with the Bloom Shop to unveil their new clothing line! We are going to do it in high fashion style, but we need your help!! We are looking for MODELS to assist us in the upcoming Serenbe Fashion Show on October 2nd. The outfits are junior sizes 0-8. Please submit a web-sized {525×775 pixels} image of yourself to serenbefashionshow@gmail.com and include “Fashion Show” in the subject line along with your name and age. No experience necessary!

We will narrow the search down to 10 girls, then it will be up to you, our Facebook “fans”, to vote on who should represent Bloom on the runway. The top 3 models with the most “fan” votes will WIN. In addition, the girl with the overall highest number of votes will receive a Headshot Mini Session with Sara Anthony Photography {a $200 value}. The grand opening for the Sara Anthony Photography Studio at Serenbe was this past Sunday in conjunction with the May Day Festival.  For all my Michigan family and friends that couldn’t make it, I’ve made this post for you! Of course, you’re still welcome to visit any time!

The shop on the left photo are my upstairs friends, the Bloom girls, Lauren and Lindsey.  Oh, their shop is yummy!  You can bet I’ll be posting some of their items in the very near future! The water feature below is the view from my front door, and the photo on the right is my front door before I got my hands on it.

The cute owner of Fire Equipment Service Center {AKA my husband} hooked me up with a fire extinguisher.  The other photos in this series are of prop storage, kids’ nook and make-up prep. area.

There are so many things that I love about Serenbe, but one of my favorites is the field of daisies.  I’ve dreamt of photographing in them for a long time.  On Sunday, May 9 my dreams will come true.  I’ll be shooting half hour mini sessions in the field.  Sign ups are based on a first come first serve basis.  We will begin taking reservations on May Day at the Grand Opening!

HINT: You’d really have to be a 2010 graduate, a client and have placed an order in 2009 to even have a clue as to why there’s fruit everywhere.

PRIZE: Jumbo pack of my new favorite gum, Trident Layers with Real Fruit Flavors. Green Apple and Golden Pineapple, Mmmmmm.

I know the prize is not much of an incentive, but go ahead and guess anyway.

Now on to getting organized…..  I took some time at the beginning of the month to organize my studio.  It was MUCH needed.  I began gutting the place from the moment I got up. Literally meaning, I didn’t get out of my PJs, and worked until the evening.  Which was convenient because I didn’t have to get back into my jammies…. that was already done. Or rather, never undone.

Hopefully what I created was a better system so that I can avoid wasting time searching piles and drawers for whatever it is I can’t find.  Everything now has a home and is conveniently labeled.  I sure hope I can get everything put back in its place after I use it. I have a real problem with that! For now it looks real pretty.  Check back with me next month to see if I kept it up.
