So my role as photographer of the wedding, sister of the bride, wife of the officiate, mother of the flower girl, jr. bridesmaid, ring bearer, and jr. groomsman had its challenges.  I wouldn’t have had it any other way.  Although, I’m relieved to know that all the weddings I photograph from here on out, I will only have to worry about shooting the wedding!  I couldn’t have done it without all the amazing help from my Aunt Betsy: childcare-extraordinaire, Drew: catch-all…. including my attitude, sister-in-law Molly: steller second shooter, sister-in-law Renee: rain boot & umbrella last minute shopper, Caitlin: babysitter-lifesaver, and the list goes on and on!  Thank you!

Since both Amanda and Matt are nurses I thought a stethoscope would make a great ring shot.  Getting a stethoscope the day of the wedding proved a bit challenging.  Thanks Shari for helping make my idea a reality.  She called several different people and finally contacted one of the doctors Amanda works with.  He was able to bring it to the reception.

I mentioned the challenge of mothering and working simultaneously, the below pictures are a sample what I’m talking about.

    Sara,
Well Done, what beautiful pictures. It almost makes me want to get married again. Almost….
You do such a fantasic job. I swear that you must have a prerequisite that all your subjects must have beautiful eyes. I can’t wait to see what you can do with our family pictures. Calvin College does look like a great spot. You must be pleased when you see the outcome of your work. Aunt Karley

Wow! Wow! and more Wow! I don’t know who makes who look better, Amanda’s beauty or your exceptional photography, but one thing for sure it will be awhile before a wedding will be captured as well as you, Molly, Aaron and Renee’have captured the beauty and personality of Amanda’s special day. Thanks for all of your family’s sacrifice. It would not have been half of what the occassion was without all of you.
