Amanda had sereval experts help her get wedding-ready.

The guys killed some time with a little Rockband.

We visited our grandma Deckrow who was unable to attend the wedding due to health reasons.

Oh how I love the first look. It’s just so romantic!

So my role as photographer of the wedding, sister of the bride, wife of the officiate, mother of the flower girl, jr. bridesmaid, ring bearer, and jr. groomsman had its challenges. I wouldn’t have had it any other way. Although, I’m relieved to know that all the weddings I photograph from here on out, I will only have to worry about shooting the wedding! I couldn’t have done it without all the amazing help from my Aunt Betsy: childcare-extraordinaire, Drew: catch-all…. including my attitude, sister-in-law Molly: steller second shooter, sister-in-law Renee: rain boot & umbrella last minute shopper, Caitlin: babysitter-lifesaver, and the list goes on and on! Thank you!

Since both Amanda and Matt are nurses I thought a stethoscope would make a great ring shot. Getting a stethoscope the day of the wedding proved a bit challenging. Thanks Shari for helping make my idea a reality. She called several different people and finally contacted one of the doctors Amanda works with. He was able to bring it to the reception.

I mentioned the challenge of mothering and working simultaneously, the below pictures are a sample what I’m talking about.

This beautiful senior and I were literally running from the rain. I’ve learned that here in Georgia, because it’s raining in one section of town doesn’t mean it’s raining in another. So as the initial drops began to fall, we jumped in the car and headed for brighter skies. We were fortunate to find some amidst a favorite field of mine.

We started out in town……

Then ran for the “hills”………..

When planning for this shoot her mom mentioned to me that her daughter had a favorite dress that was rather fancy and that she wasn’t sure what shoes to wear with it. She started listing shoes available in the closet and I stopped her at the Uggs. I believe it was a perfect fit!

Gloomy cloads started to role back in as we were finishing, but seemed to set the mood perfectly I thought. This senior and her boyfriend meet at Jujitsu, so it was only fitting that we grab a few photos of them showing me their talent.

….for leaving your tractor-mower in the VERY field, at the VERY time, I had a session scheduled. Couldn’t have planned it better myself. It was one of those moments that it made me realize God even cares about the little things….. the silly things, that would make this photographer’s day.

Remember the rain we turned into a rainbow with this session?

Well, I promised a reshoot in hope that the rain wouldn’t come again. It did, of course, but left in time to shoot. Thankfully. The rain left behind some serious humidity, but it didn’t stop the fun or the love.
