This past weekend I had the privilege of photographing a fundraiser for baby Colin. He and his family are fighting to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. It’s a disease that has effected their lives in a personal way when Colin was born with it. I first met Colin and his mom, Samantha, at my Photography Workshop. Soon after that, I learned about the fundraiser and had to get involved. I’m so glad I did. It’s amazing to see a community, my community, band together to make a difference.
First, meet the team that organized the whole event. They are an incredible group of women, I’m honored to call friends.

Colin slept most of the day away in his mother’s arms.

One of the more moving moments was to see children donating their own money.

So many companies donated their products, supplies and food to make the day a success.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention one of miracles of the day. Severe rain was forecast for the day of the event. We’ve had so much rain predicted lately, and it’s been accurate. Many prayers went up asking for God to hold off the rain from 2:30-4:30, so the event could go on. He did just that. We heard reports of it raining just blocks away, but not over the park where we were. At 4:40, as we were wrapping things up, rain drops began to fall.

A live band, The Makepeace Brothers, played at the event. Cool group of guys, check them out!

Check out the video montage below for more photographs from the day. More importantly, visit www.cff.org if you too would like to make a difference in the life of a child fighting CF.

Wow, what a great event for such a cute little guy. Wished we were still near by, we would have loved to attend. This is the diagnosis we were faced with for Anna Claire before she was born. CF will always be near to our hearts. It is something we would love to support. Looks like y’all had a wonderful turn out! m
