When I heard that Ashley & Guy were getting married I had a feeling I've never had before begin to form within me…. desire to shoot a wedding. I had shot one wedding before, kind of. I'd bailed a friend out one time many years back. I was just starting out in photography. My friend had committed to shoot a wedding and then realized she couldn't do it on the scheduled date. I said I'd do it. That was my "first" wedding. It was a good experience, but it still didn't make me want to shoot weddings. Occasionally when I'd look over some blog entries of amazing weddings photographers, I'd think maybe some day. Well, yesterday was that day. Guy and Ashley got married and I was their photographer. She was an amazingly calm bride {the opposite was always one of my fears}. It was beautiful weather {bad weather, another fear}. The day didn't come without its challenges though. Ashley and Guy are a very creative and fashion forward couple {one of the things that attracted me to their wedding}. They knew what they wanted and it wasn't typical. I loved all the details she'd share with me. Only two things I tried to talk her out of. One, she wanted to get married outside, in the dark. Hmm. so my job as the photographer was to "capture the light", but there would be none. Secondly, they didn't want to see each other before the wedding. Two pretty big challenges for my intro. to weddings. Well, it all worked out and made for an amazing event.
Thanks Guy and Ashley for believing in me and trusting me with such an important stepping stone in your journey together. Hope you love how your day was captured. I loved shooting it.
Some of the awesome details from the day…….
Every last one of these girls was B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!!
Ashley's maid of honor was Malorie. Love that girl.
And now the ever handsome Guy…..
And a couple more of the oh-so-hot Ashley……
Ashely's creative group-shot idea to avoid seeing her man before the wedding…. opposite corners of the brick wall.
Now for the night wedding…….
The first dance under the stars…
As a finaly, a personal fav. You can feel the love!!
THE END.
