I’ve heard it said from a client on more than one occasion, "I love that photo. I’d like to order a big one…. an 8×10."
I encourage my clients, when they have to choose, to invest in one large {16×20+} photo art piece of their kids for their home as opposed to a lot of 5x7s/8x10s that may never make it into a frame! The canvas I have of my kids in the studio, some may say, is a bit over the top at 40×60, but I love every inch of it. So maybe the 40×60 isn’t the size for you, but a size that would make a statement {make art} in your homeI I took a photo of a "big 8×10" and then another photo of the 8×10 next to the canvas in my studio. Just some food for thought when ordering your next photo.

I’ve made a change…a big one….. big for me anyway. I totally chopped off my hair. I liked it long, I still do. I just needed something different. I’m sure I’ll grow it back, because that’s what I do. Cut bangs, grow them out, cut layers, grow them out, chop my hair and grow it out. It’s a vicious cycle of discontentment and desire for change. Anyway, it will be nice for summer and nice when I lay in bed and Drew rolls over, he will no longer roll onto my hair, pulling it at it’s very core and cause me to want to say bad words! ;0)
Jaxton hooked me up with a before photo…..
Nine inches later… Drew hooked me up with an after photo. I was 1 inch short from being able to donate to Locks of Love. I checked into it and was so close. Disappointing. Next time….. because there will be a next time if my cycle continues.
Wish I would have taken a picture of the back. It’s stacked and oh-so-cute!
Now on to someone else who is dying to cut his hair. I’ve been trying to talk him out of it because I love it long so much. I have a feeling when the GA heat really hits I will loose this one, so I had to document it while it’s still intact. Here’s Drew in all his handsomeness… and long hair!!

I believe I could be content with 70 degree weather for the rest of my life. Truly, when it’s in the 70 degree range I’m happy. Then add in the park, the sun and the blue sky, life is good. This past Sunday was so beautiful, it was great being out in the sunshine and photographing this super cute family. Considering the weather, I thought nothing could get me down however the Atlanta traffic went from it’s usual 6 lanes to 2, that put my happiness to the test. Very frustrating, but once we got out in the Spring air all was good.

My kids have been saying some cute things…. or at least I think they’re cute! So, I’m posting them here to help me remember their cuteness. One day, soon probably, I’ll need to be reminded of how cute they are because soon enough they may find a permanent marker and destroy something.
I asked Jaxton to share his drink with his sister Ava today. He yells out after examining the remains floating in his cup….. "Ava car-washed in my drink!"
Jalen recently graced us with a tune that’s an oldie but a goodie, "I Love Rock and Roll". Apparently in the age of Ipods and MP3 players, he’s not familiar with a Jukebox. He sang, "I love rock and roll, put another dime in the juicebox baby." I made him sing it to me again just t be sure I was hearing it correctly, sure enough, juicebox baby!
And finally, a picture I love. I have it on my desktop and it makes me smile…. often. Ava and her cousin in a moment of happiness…. a moment when they weren’t fighting over a baby doll.
