When I moved from Michigan I never knew that I would miss something so simple. I miss the simple pleasure of soft green grass between my toes! Silly, I know, but if you only knew how hard and painful the grass is around these Southern parts. Not to mention, the fact that it’s yellow most of the year. Well, this picture sums up the joy of plush grass. And if I could have gotten away with it I’d have rolled in it too!
Instead I lived vicariously through this beautiful family and let them lay amidst the cozy green stalks!
I fell in love with this family last year on a trip up North. I was to happy when they booked me again this year. The boys are just so stinkin’ cute!!

She isn’t much of a baby anymore. My niece, who’s featured on my website fitting so nicely into her bookshelf (found under A Day in the Life), has turned two. While visiting this summer I stuck her next to the bookshelf again to show her growth. It’s hard to believe she ever fit inside it! My brother, the master videographer captured her spunk in a recent video. Check it out!!!

I have returned from Michigan. It was beautiful weather to begin the weekend of shoots with, but I ended under an umbrella.
The shine….

I learned I like to photograph in them both. One is just wetter than the other.
