He could be some day. Keep your eye out for this one. He needed some headshots for some upcoming theater work.
I got distracted and switched up the lighting. Not very headshot-ish, but cool nonetheless.
Okay, back on track…

We’ve been working on having Ava give up her bottle. It’s taking longer than I planned, but I know the end is soon. I wanted a few pictures to remember this time. I’ve never had a child hold on to a pacifier, much less a bottle, this long. However, she is the BABY. ;0) I loved the photo with texture and in black and white, so you get to see them both.

I’ve been tagged by Elizabeth. I’ve been instructed to give you 8 Interesting Facts About Me……………..
I’m going to pull from some childhood memories on this round of tag. It’s totally going to give away my age but it’s not really a secret anyway!
- As a kid I can remember being in my best friend’s basement watching Michael Jackson perform on TV and being so in love, I kissed the television screen! Do you remember that Julie? I think you were right along with me!
- “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” was my favorite movie. I loved Sarah Jessica Parker. After all, we shared the same name! I wasn’t allowed to see it, yet it was my favorite…………. Hmmmmmm. That may be the only time I was disobedient and didn’t tell on myself.
- I had home permanents given by my mother, the master over processor, from elementary through high school. That equals a lot of split ends, not to mention some wicked hair styles too!
- My only reaccuring dream that I have as an adult is that I can still do the splits. It’s always so real I wake up thinking it’s true, but if you knew how unflexible I am you’d laugh.
- Since the time I was allowed to wear make-up I have always had a rather large collection of lip glosses. I love a good lip gloss. That could be why it was so easy for Ava to find a container of it and spread it all over our bedroom carpet a few weeks ago. Did I forget to mention that deviant act? Ah yes, a nice bright pink shade. I still have the tint in my carpet to prove it!
- So you want to hear about a time I did tell on myself? As a junior in high school I was not allowed to see rated “R” movies. One of my friend’s parent’s bought us all tickets to see Road House with Patrick Swayze. Dumb movie. Anyway, I felt so guilty I told my parents as soon as I got home and they grounded me for a month.
- I have 3 earring holes in my ears from way back when it was cool to have uneven number of earrings in your head. I don’t ever fill the third whole anymore, however that style may be coming back soon along side the baby doll shirts and leggings combo I see hitting the stores.
- Finally. After Michael Jackson came Chicago and Phil Collins as favorites of mine in the music industry. I still enjoy them. Michael, not so much. However, I went to see Chicago in concert for my birthday this year. Let’s just say they’re getting old. I wasn’t quite how I remember them sounding when I was infatuated with the neighbor boy at my grandma’s cottage and would listen to “You’re in the meaning in my life. You’re the inspiration……..” while he jet skied by the dock.
Ahhhh, memories. Thanks for taking a walk down memory lane with me. If you can find the time girls; you’re it………
I’ll leave you with a photo I’m having blown up of the kids. They’re playing Ava’s favorite game, Ring Around the Rosy.

When I go downtown for a shoot I always try to scout out a new spot to use in an effort to keep sessions fresh and not cookie cutter. However, just because a building looks abandon doesn’t mean it is. We’d taken over the door jam of a cool old building and thought we were by ourselves until the door opened to a woman working inside….. oops! But, we got some cool shots!

He was awake the whole time!! I thought for sure a 6 day old baby would be sound asleep and he was…. in my arms. Then when the camera came out he was ready for his photo shoot and didn’t want to miss a minute. He was very content, and wide-eyed. This little bundle belongs to my good friend Lindsey. She’s another blessing that has helped make my transition to Georgia just that much easier. Love ya Linds!
