So we made a quick visit up north this weekend. We piled in the car and drove 12 hours to hang out with my family for a couple days. It was so fun. Very spontaneous. I brought my new little gadget, the Canon 5d. I’m in love. It’s been the missing link and seems to have solved my frustration with less than ideal sharpness.
Our visit brought in a cool front, very cool. Unseasonable cool. It’s just what I needed. I love me some cold Michigan weather. Especially after weeks of 100+ degree weather we’ve been having in Georgia.
I have many more pictures from the weekend, but here are a few of my sister Amanda. She bought some super cute rain boots and it just happened to be raining on Sunday. It was meant to be; Amanda’s new boots, my new camera: PERFECT.

Sara laughed and said, “That is your daughter, Amanda.” Sure enough, the next pictures looked like Amanda. That darn Photo Shop. No she is pretty beautiful, even Molly likes her …..

great pics! love those boots. i always want to buy cool boots like i see in j crew, but i remember how practical a 30-something year old needs to be with her clothes allowance. they look great on you amanda!!!! so you love the camera huh??? oh man…..

58F and rainy…great MI weather:( Fortunately, it was 70F and sunny the two days before! I’ll take that anyday. Sara, you are the best photographer I know!…and I know a lot…well, not really…but still, you are the best.

My boots look great, just how i had pictured. Good job on makin me Good Lookin’ . You can even make long and lanky look good. I loved seeing ya’ll, it was so much fun, even though i wasn’t the one doing all the driving i would say it was more than worth it!
