I mentioned in an earlier post that last weekend we took a spontaneous visit to Michigan. I’d like to save myself some thinking and take a quote…. okay a paragraph, from my brother’s blog. He’s good with words and said it well.
"Many families would have stayed at a local hotel….not the Deckrow’s, we all {19} slept under the same roof and ate every meal together. We have never been accused of being normal, but we did have a ton of fun, from hanging out….to sitting by the fire….taking in the Midland Fair….jumping on the trampoline….playing the Wii…..late night deep talks….watching the kids play together, it was a weekend to remember, so I couldn’t pass up making a short video of the footage I shot from this weekend."
Yes, he did it again, another awesome video. I will share it, but first a few pix from the weekend!
Here’s Aaron showing the kids how trampoline jumping is REALLY done!
We surprised Ellexa and had her best friend from GR come for the weekend too.
Can you tell my vantage point in this photo?
I shot a few pix of my brother and his beautiful wife, Renee, to update their blog photo. Here are a few from our "session" in the middle of their street. These photos are bonus shots. You can see the chosen one here.
And now for the video….

ALL of the shots rock too!~
That was so fabulous!!!!!!
OMG I love the Video.. wow.. that is so freakin’ awesome
Wow! How can one family have so much talent AND good looks:) Your parents must be proud and loving family get togethers like this one. Once again, love the pictures and the video is amazing. I hope Chris and I can create this type of close knit family environment for the boys…looks like we are well on our way in the kiddo department! We need to sign you and Drew and your parents up for some family mentoring for us:) It’s so neat to see a family that loves each other in more ways than one. Thanks for sharing! m
ok, now that i am over my initial rach-is- pregnant-shock i am looking more closely at the rest of the post. love the video. aaron you so totally rock! maybe that is how you got that super gorgeous wife of yours because every time i see pics of her im thinking…dang aarons got it so good with the always beautiful renae!
So I guess with you guys visiting for the weekend blows my excuse out of the water, of not having any more vacation days or how rough it would be to have 3 kids in car all that way.
Now I am assuming that the photo of my impressive flexibility gives me full rights to post some footage that didn’t quite make the cut and would be equally as flattering. Thanks for the photo shoot and visit…so what are you doing next weekend?

Rachel-
If you call your baby doll shirt a “maternity” shirt people are going to talk.
Allow me to clear the air….. There is no baby in her belly (as much as I wish there were). She’s visiting right now and I’m afraid my crazy house with 4 kids is not helping her get pregs. any time soon!
RACHEL!!!!
looks like lots of fun, Anthonys! I hope you are well. Praying for ya, Asher
is rachel pregnant????? did she just say cap sleeve maternity shirt??
In living with a family of cameras you learn a lot about yourself. Such as…Cap sleeve maternity shirts …not very thining. That scowl I’m making in the beginning of the video…not very attractive. I have now noticed how often I make that face, Yikes!
I know everyone takes a bad picture here and there…but these pictures don’t go away. They become enlarged and put on house walls, work walls, and even church walls, they turn into videos, they get put on the World Wide Web and then we ask people to comment on them. I need to keep this in mind next time.
