Just before my evening session today lightening and thunder rolled in. Rain followed. Yes, it’s much needed, but the timing!! Well, we moved the session into the studio. It worked out beautifully. This Senior is stunning and was oh so fun to work with.

We have a Triathlete in the family. Drew finished his second triathlon this year and can’t wait to do another. He finished in well under 3 hours. I was totally amazed and impressed. It was a 1.5k swim, 40K bike, and a 10k run.
One day at the pool I swam a half lap to test out whether I’d ever like to join Drew in his new found hobby. I was very out of breath, almost dead. It’s hard, very hard. I’m so proud of my man. Way to go Drew. Ironman watch out!
Everyone’s leg had their age so they knew who their competition was. My thought is that it was some sort of Triathlon pick-up method. I’m glad I was there to keep the girls off my hot guy!
Drew was joined by his cousin and her husband.

My sister Rachel was here for the weekend. We shopped, and shopped some more. Then when we put all the stores to "close" for the evening, we took pictures of each other in the studio. We went for, well let’s just say, a different look than we usually do. High fashion. Couture. America’s Next Top Model-Like. Crazy. I don’t know, but we had fun and laughed a lot.
Here’s some of our favorites from Rachel’s session……….
My child’s tutu had a whole new look on a 20 something adult.
And a few of me………

I mentioned in an earlier post that last weekend we took a spontaneous visit to Michigan. I’d like to save myself some thinking and take a quote…. okay a paragraph, from my brother’s blog. He’s good with words and said it well.
"Many families would have stayed at a local hotel….not the Deckrow’s, we all {19} slept under the same roof and ate every meal together. We have never been accused of being normal, but we did have a ton of fun, from hanging out….to sitting by the fire….taking in the Midland Fair….jumping on the trampoline….playing the Wii…..late night deep talks….watching the kids play together, it was a weekend to remember, so I couldn’t pass up making a short video of the footage I shot from this weekend."
Yes, he did it again, another awesome video. I will share it, but first a few pix from the weekend!
Here’s Aaron showing the kids how trampoline jumping is REALLY done!
We surprised Ellexa and had her best friend from GR come for the weekend too.
Can you tell my vantage point in this photo?
I shot a few pix of my brother and his beautiful wife, Renee, to update their blog photo. Here are a few from our "session" in the middle of their street. These photos are bonus shots. You can see the chosen one here.
And now for the video….

So we made a quick visit up north this weekend. We piled in the car and drove 12 hours to hang out with my family for a couple days. It was so fun. Very spontaneous. I brought my new little gadget, the Canon 5d. I’m in love. It’s been the missing link and seems to have solved my frustration with less than ideal sharpness.
Our visit brought in a cool front, very cool. Unseasonable cool. It’s just what I needed. I love me some cold Michigan weather. Especially after weeks of 100+ degree weather we’ve been having in Georgia.
I have many more pictures from the weekend, but here are a few of my sister Amanda. She bought some super cute rain boots and it just happened to be raining on Sunday. It was meant to be; Amanda’s new boots, my new camera: PERFECT.
