Winter Break wasn’t so wintery. It was in the 70s and sunny.  The kids played outside every day.  It was  wonderful.

I hadn’t seen my friend Renee since before our youngests were born, so I packed my bags, my kids and headed out to see her over mid-winter break. I had to earn my keep, so I took a few pictures of her boys.  How could I not, look how cute they are!

Here’s a peek Renee.  The rest are coming your way very soon.  Thanks for your great hospitality, girl!

Note to self: In the future, take the head shots before the leaf fight!  It will save time in post production.

May there be no more complaints from the "comment gallery", AKA my sisters.  I know it’s been a while, but I’m back and all rested up.  Well kind of, the reality of laundry and house work tires me out fast.  I may need another vacation very soon. ;0) We had an awesome time on our cruise.  It was so great seeing Rach, John, Kari and Joel (thanks again for letting us crash your vacation), eating, napping, laying in the sun, and eating some more.  Here are a few pix.

A few scenic shots to begin with….

A cowboy hat and a camera helped pass some time while we took a break from the sun.

My husband is whisking me away during the upcoming LOVE-ly holiday.  Therefore, I will be away from my desk for the next week and unable to blog.  I’ll catch up with everyone when I return.

Just a quick note to say, relax and enjoy your day.  After lunch you may just want to nap for a bit, or like Ava…. during lunch.

**Edited to add:  I need to take my own "relax" advise today.  While I was grocery shopping this afternoon, I was contacted via the overhead speaker that I needed to report to my car.  Upon my arrival I realized my vehicle had been severely hit by an elderly woman who was apparently startled after driving over a curb and hit the gas instead of her break.  My car was the first to be kissed and then 2 more.  Basically my cute little SUV was the meat in a sandwich of cars.  Funny thing is, I’ve never really been attached to any car I’ve owned, but as I drove to the store today I actually thought to myself, "I love my car". That thought was just 20 minutes before the sandwich! Obviously the good thing is we weren’t getting into the car; no one was hurt.  Things could have been much worse.
