My last shoot of the year was of some Christmas trees. A nice way to end my photog. year, very different, but nice. I was documenting some amazing decorations for a client. Here’s a photo of one of her trees……..
*Note: This tree wouldn’t last a day in our house. Look at these ornaments…..

Growing up there was a mom in our neighborhood that would call her child home each evening by l yelling, "Kevie" at the top of her lungs from her front door. It echoed throughout the neighborhood loud enough that we could always hear her from inside our home.
While trying to locate my "little Houdini" yesterday I was reminded of that childhood memory. I found myself yelling for Jaxton and wondering what must the neighbors be thinking. It probably went something like this…. "That crazy lady done lost her kid again." But until you’ve had a Jaxton of your own, it’s hard to relate. Turn your back and he’s gone. It’s amazing what he can do when given 3 minutes unattended.
It all started when I mentioned that we would be having the cousins over to celebrate Christmas and that we’d roast marshmallows as part of the festivites. Jaxton heard marshmallows and without my knowledge, proceeded downstairs to retrieve the white puffs and prepare for the fun. Here’s how I found him a few minutes later (after yelling his name from the front door, mind you)!!
NO pants and marshmallows on a stick. And just incase he should run out of puffs, his stash………..
Kept nice a clean in his trike!
BTW, that’s the face he gives me EVERY time I pull out my camera these days.

You’ve seen it a thousand times. Unless it’s your kid in the picture! I know the frame in a photo has been done before, but I had to try it. Try it with my kid in the frame. Drew found this empty frame at one of his flip houses and thought it could be put to good use. He was right. Probably not what he was thinking, but I put to good use.
Ellexa was up for having a few photos snapped of her. Too bad the conditions weren’t the best… dusk, dead grass and dirty kid. I took some pictures anyway.
** Cindy and Rach this post was for you!! You should see all that I have to do, but I’m blogging instead. I wish you guys were near to help me dig my way out of this mess of a house I’m living in!! Well, enjoy. See you soon girls. I can’t wait! I’d like to place my order now for my quickly approaching arrival, SNOW. Yes, I’d like snow for Christmas, even if you have to keep it in the freezer until I get there. I think it was like 70 here today; that’s not what I call Christmas!
