Of course, I AM the Mom of this adorable sweetie pie, so I’m a little biased. She just makes me smile!

Ava is starting to talk a bit. She waves and says, "Bye." We discovered if we feed her ice cream she says, "MMMMMMMMMMMM" after every bite and then she says, "More" as soon as the goodness has left her lips. It’s so cute! Ahhhhh…..ya, we’ve been feeding her a lot of ice cream just to hear it! She also gives kisses. It’s a nice smacking sound when we ask for a kiss. In addition she has begun to have an opinion. Her opinion is noted with a very loud SCREAM! If she’s not done on the swing, SCREAMMMMMMM. Not finished riding the neighbors toy, SCREAMMMMMMMM. Would like more to eat, very loud SCREAMMMMMMMM!
What would we do without her? I’m in love!

Fall is in the air. Well, I hear it is in Michigan anyway. I’m still waiting for it to hit Georgia.
As many of you already know, I’ll be heading home to Michigan to photograph clients on the weekend of Oct. 20-22nd. Space has filled up nicely, but I still have a few time slots available on Friday afternoon. Contact me via email (here) if you are interested in setting up an appointment.

My bloggin’ buddy Elizabeth tagged me. So, I’m suppose to tell you 5 weird things about me. Included will be some explanations, I guess so you don’t think I’m SUPER weird…… check-yourself-in weird, just kind of weird…… need-to-tell-your-friend weird.
** I didn’t think this first one was weird until I told my friend about it and she said, "That’s weird".
1. Since moving to Georgia, I cover my ears with my hair before falling asleep. Why? -To keep the bugs out. I’m telling you; there are a TON of scary bugs here and they really like to come out at night. I’ve always been afraid of bugs and I’ve envisioned them strongly desiring to make a nest in my ears to lay thousands of baby bugs. The hair will stop them from doing that, right?
2. I love to shop. Not so weird, but I have a weakness for buying bags, towels, and throw blankets. I have way too many of them. I don’t know where this comes from, but I enjoy them and therefore have MANY of them.
3. Long toenails & fingernails on men could easily make me throw up! I hate unkept toes, especially hairy-dirty-man-toes.
4. I hate to talk on the phone. Anyone that’s been my friend for any length of time knows this to be true. I also have a hard time answering the phone and returning phone calls. I’m not sure why, I would however like to blame my mother. She’s the same way, therefore I’m sure I got it from her. I am an excellent email-er though.
5. I have a fear of Roller Coasters. I’ve often thought while staring up at the Demon Drop at Cedar Point, "I don’t think a million bucks could get me on that thing!" It’s not that I think I’m going to die. I just don’t like the feeling it creates in the pit of my stomach. It’s a feeling so bad not even a million dollars could sooth it.
BTW: Ellexa took this photo of me. I told her I needed a weird picture of myself. She said, "That’s not a very weird face, Mom." Apparently I look like this to her all the time .

I’m realizing how much I depend on email to connect with the outside world. My email is currently out of service, but should be back up in the next 24-48 hours, so they tell me. "They" are unavailable for customer help right now. I’m switching servers due to this very problem, lack of "customer service assistance". Ava is disguising herself since her latest "event". This past Sunday I awoke to the cries of my husband, "Sara, come quick!" I arrived on the scene to find Ava covered in POOP. Covered: hair, face, arms, legs, feet, toes. Covered! She had removed her diaper in the night and pooped and peed all over her crib. She then proceeded to roll, jump, and somersault (from the look of things) in it. GROSS. I’ve heard of this happening, but not until you experience it first hand will you truly understand the depth of how gross it truly is!
Looks like Jaxton has offered to join the club too. He’s due for a good mess-making event. After all, it has been less than 24 hours since his last mess. (He dumped my potted plant all over the front porch yesterday and spread it around -for effect.)
