For all my Michigan friends and family that were unable to visit us this summer, I finally got around to taking photos of our house for you.  I know so many of you have been asking for these photos, well……. I was really hoping to get more curtains up and pictures hung.  Then reality hit me over the head. It may be awhile.  So, here is the link to the "as is" version.

*Edited to add: Our couch is a "copycat couch".  My super cool, oh so great decorator sister, Rachel, has the same couch.  SHE had it first!  What can I say, the girl can decorate and she can pick a comfy couch too.  Thanks Rach for the good idea!

We had the cousins for dinner last week.  Kids filled the table, making no room for any adults.  However, I was the only adult present and I was happy to stand.

Notice the 2 kids that aren’t quite in the correct "prayer posture"…. yes, those two would be mine.  Really, we’ve raised them better than that.

It’s probably good I was standing; there were a lot of glasses of juice to fill and refill.

Oh, and hands to clean.

We are so glad to have family near us.  It’s made the move easier, no doubt about it.

The boys saw an earthmover outside the front window one rainy afternoon.  You’d have thought Santa dropped it off just for them; they were so excited.

Jaxton watched inquisitively as Jalen hopped aboard.

Jealousy was soon overrun by pure determination!  Jax wanted to be the driver.

Here’s what mom and dad had to deal with after the boys finished playing with the *present*………

My 2 year old is potty training and I’ve always said I’ll never be offered a book deal for my method of potty training.  Basically, I start out each day with underwear on the child. When I get sick of stressing out over whether he will pee on the carpet, we switch to a Pull-up.  The stress usually hits about noon, on a good day. To be honest, some days we just start with a Pull-up.   Then when I think of it, I say, "Hey want to go pee-pee on the potty?"  And all to often, it’s usually after the fact.  It’s not the quickest method.  So, if I were to write a book it might be titled, "How to Potty Train Your Child in 36 Weeks Flat"  Anyone interested in a copy?

Now if nature garnished our home’s floor, I swear my book title could easily be switched to "How to Potty Train Your Child in 36 Minutes".  Frankly, my boy loves peeing in the great outdoors.  His big brother taught him this *trick* and he thinks it’s pretty cool.  It’s just what do the neighbors think, that worries me.  My aunt found Jax like this last week…..
