My mother, who’s become quite computer savvy in her more recent years, has begun to leave comments on my blog. Frankly, she’s stealing my thunder. If you ever read her comments, they’re often full of charm and whit. Her most recent comment was in regard to my new banner. She wrote…
"I’m glad that you’re doing the rotation thing on the banner. I’ll be preparing my "hat-pose" portfolio for when it’s ‘grandma backstage’ month."
Upon further jesting via the telephone, I told her she needed to also have some sort of instrument to include with her hat. She reminded me that she was once an accomplished accordionist. Next thing I know, my sisters sent the following "audition photos" to me.
I’m told these photos were taken amongst much rolling on the ground and loads of laughter. I only wish I had been there to see it for myself! Way to be a good sport Mom. Your "Banner Day" is totally coming. Rock On Mom!

Dad - Llexa Lou, You don’t have to worry about Grandma beating you in the Banner audition. She’s a good sport , but you are definately a Cover Girl. You got to love that Grandma for giving it a good try, though. Her Man
Dad - Sara, you really missed a great photo shoot with Rachel and Mom trying to keep a straight face. Watching Rachel trying to hold still enough to get a picture was a big part of the entertainment. Mom couldn’t even keep a serious expression watching Rachel howling and whirling around the room as she roared holding her sides. Hopefully, you can picture the whole scene.
Molly - Hilarious. Yes, your mom is quite the sport.
Gert - Hey, Sara, your mom really DOES look like a rock star; and that accordian is so EDGEY!!!
Do you think we could meet her? . . . does she ever do concerts? . . . can’t wait to see her picture on the REAL banner.
mom - Really Sara's dad - Contact my manager for private house parties while there are still openings . . the bookings are filling up. Her Manager (Husband, Retired)
emily - Oh, that IS funny!!!!
Amanda - Mom you have always said to me and i quote, “You can do anything as long as you do it with confidence”…and i always believed you…until now…somethings are not meant to be done mom, and i think playing the accordin is one them. BUT the Rock Star thing…I like that… ROCK ON MOM!
The REAL Gert - My Son has a Bar Mitzvah coming up and we’ve been looking for a edgy accordian player. If you’re not already booked we’d love to have you.
Rach - Mom you’re a true sport. Little did you know all the joking would turn into a reality! HILARIOUS!
Rach - The down fall to having mom commenting on your blog is she is now proof reading my entries…You’ll notice I spelled “You’re” correct this time!
It’s a whole new preasure…I can’t take it!
Proud Son (Aaron) - I often consider posting a comment on Sara’s blog, but this time I must, something like this even brings me out of the wood work. Great Grandma Minciati would be proud, or roll in her grave! Are you familiar with songs such as Sicilian Tarantella and Tesoro Mio they are from the amazing hit CD “Accordion Italiano”, be looking for it in your stocking. Maybe you can rip it to your iPod to inspire you.
On a more sad note did you hear that famous Italian accordionist Wolmer Beltrami died recently. It was hard on us all. You can read more about it on http://www.accordions.com, if you haven’t been there already.
Well, I am glad you got the cover art out of the way, we will be looking for you new single. Until then ROCK ON!!!
Captured Productions - Hey K-dog make sure your people get with my people this week to get that music video wrapped up. It is due to premier on ARTV (Accordions Rock TV) next month. It is sure to knock everyones socks off! Peace-out, A-dog
Karri - Aunt Karen you look hot! Karri
Olivia - Wow, K-dog, I had no idea you were such a rocker. To think, all these years you were hiding it from the church!! I think you should ask the pastor for a solo spot next Sunday and ditch the nursery thing. Peace.
Sara Anthony - Yeap Mom, you’re definately stealing the show. No doubt about it. You’ve broken the record for most comments posted. Even if half of them are from your husband!!
Her Manager - Sara, I believe if the real aka subscribers were known by their real name I would not be the one who put this “Rocker” into the lead. This Edgy Rocker stands on her own reputation. One more comment for this beauty, Yea!
Mistie Doyle - Sara- just wanted to let you know I enjoy looking at your pictures. I became a fan after you posted a few of Molly looking all hot and prego. Your mom is a real cutie.
-Mistie (friend of Molly)
Michelle Croson - Rock on!!! Your mom is Beautiful!!!!
Elisabeth - This is a HOOT ! You people are nuts and I love it. I feel so at home reading this blog. I even got my husband in on this one and we had a great laugh with you. I can’t sign off without saying……Rock on !!!!
Amanda - ok…DAY 1 and 2 of seeing your mom as a rock star is pretty funny… WEEK 1 and 2… its old and im getting sick of it …literally. Sara your slackin! I know Rach is in town but this is how you loose your readers! Now come on!
Her Dad - “loose your readers!” Can you believe her Mom, the Banner candidate is an English major. It is “lose your readers” Amanda
Amanda - Not everyone is as perfect as you are dad… sorry
Michelle - K, I know nobody is reading this entry anymore, so I may repeat this further up, but am I the only one surprised by how much Rachel looks like Aunt Karen? I swear, in the first pic, I thought it was Rach. Beauty carried forward, I suppose!
