I’m proud of my man who made it through yesterday. YESTERDAY…..March 26, 2006, the day our life made a turn. A turn towards a place that uses words like fixin’ and y’all. See if we’re fixin’ here in Michigan there’s a tool in our hand! But come June, we’re fixin’ to move to Georgia…no tools required. Yesterday was the day we told our church family. It was a very emotional day. My fear was that I wouldn’t be able to hold it together while on stage resulting in a cry from the very depths of my soul. A cry I am all too familiar with. I can feel it starting at my core and erupting through my face into, well, an ugly ugly contortion of the eyes, nose, and mouth! Fortunately, I didn’t have to say anything which helped me immensely! I was able to stand by my man, be a strong support, and no ugly faces surfaced.
That night we spent the evening with our long time friends and rekindled a tradition we had before so many kids were born.. Sunday night pizza at the Sully’s!! Pizza, Scrabble, and just plain hanging out. Memories and fun I’ll never forget. Thanks you guys….or should I say, thanks y’all.
A perfect ending to a long day!
